La Traviata at the Bregenzer Festspiele – Premiere 22 July 2026
The Bregenz Festival opened its 2026 season with Giuseppe Verdi’s _La Traviata_ on the famous Seebühne – the floating lake stage on Lake

The stage features a 25-meter-high shattered mirror wall made of 86 panels floating above the water. It reflects the lake, sky, and audience, and video is projected onto it.

It’s billed as a story of glamour, longing, and transience, intimacy vs. spectacle on water.
